An Urban, archaeological and topographical plan of Teotihuacan (copyright: Rene Millon). Teotihuacan was an ancient Mesoamerican city located in the Valley of Mexico, which is located in the State of Mexico, 40 kilometres northeast of modern-day Mexico City.

Σε αυτό το διάγραμμα εμφαίνεται ένα γεγονός για τη λαμπρή πόλη των Αθηνών: πως πρόκειται για την πόλη με το μεγαλύτερο μήκος οχυρώσεων όλων των Περιόδων, από όσα γνωρίζω.

‘Modern’ Byzantine Architecture: Design by S. Calatrava for St. Nicholas Church at the World Trade Center, New York

 

This is a design by the renowned Spanish architect Santiago Calatrava for St. Nicholas Orthodox Church at the World Trade Center, New York (credit: Santiago Calatrava LLC, Zurich). Calatrava is one of my favourite architects.
