This is an interesting map on the Growth of the Swedish empire in 1560-1660. Acquisitions are noted in accordance with the reigns of the respective Swedish kings. Note that in 1560 the Kingdom of Sweden had already
occupied Finland which formally annexed in 1581. The years in brackets denote the year of loss of the respective acquisition. Most of them were lost due to the Russian advance in the Baltic.
The second map (www.demis.nl) gives the geographical terrain of the area of expansion and also the modern state boundaries.
